I've never seen a transsexual gradient as different from a Transgender one. Where did that come from?

awww did someone have a bad day? poor you. taking out your anger and massive ego on random peoples posts that are trying to be supportive isint going to help tho :/ how about you try talking to the friends you don't have or talking to your stuffed animals as a source of comfort? i know it usually works for immature children :)

"Bear is a gay slang term. It describes a hairy, heavy-set (sometimes muscular) gay or bisexual man. A bear typically projects an image of rugged masculinity. Some bears present a very masculine, over-the-top image of a ruggedly masculine man"

I m dying why the hell do they need a flag-

I'm quite certain that's a fetish, not a gender or sex or whatever. Unless fetishes are genders to these crazies — foot, inflation, fat, etc.

I have to admit, I find a lot of these terms very confusing.
I always thought "autosexuals" were those guys who got aroused by cars.

I was Googling a lot of these, and I'm TG!

soo basically the lipstick lesbian one is making a lesbian stereotype abt lesbians being masculines and stuff, so they had to create/develop/discover/etc lipstick lesbians? im sory if i offend anyone, but a lot of these genders are just personality traits. Being 'masculine' is smth abt personality, it has NOTHING to do with your sexual/romantic orientation :/
Same w Pansexual. They feel atracted to anyone, no matter race, religion, etc. Thats smth a open minded person would look for. Im open minded, but im not pan lol.

"Lipstick lesbian" is one of those terms that goes back to what seems like the dawn of time. (I'm surprised to see it here.)

It used to be the excuse guys used when they hit on a hot woman who then shot them down in flames. Rather than limp back to their buddies at the bar and admit failure, they'd tell their friends she was a "lipstick lesbian," because, otherwise, he'd have scored, right?

These fools considered Lipstick Lesbians to be sort of undercover gays. They looked like regular women, wearing make-up and skirts, and they were hot, only they didn't want guys. (So the guys wondered, why'd they dress up like they wanted a guy, when they didn't, huh? Huh?)

Those neanderthal-wannabes figured all real lesbians never wear make-up or skirts, and all wear flannel shirts and jeans. These trolls never heard the terms 'butch' or 'femme.'

(The one thing to remember with a lot of these terms is that they may have been around a long time, but they're unfamiliar because they were never said in the mainstream.
A few years ago the ultra-conservative talking heads went loopy when the term "polar vortex" was used by weathercasters. They claimed it was some term just made up to support global warming; in fact, it's an old term that was just never used in mainstream media, that the talking heads never knew existed.)

Wait, since when is Asexual part of the LGBT group though. And also I feel like intersecting the sexuality pattern labels further doesn't really solve the core issue. The issue being that sexuality is a gradient. It just complicates what is only retractable to individualism.

y'know for the longest time I figured I was simply straight. I've always dated guys but honestly I never really "felt" anything while dating them. no love, no sexual desire, nothing. So I often think I'm most likey Asexual...or autosexual (since I do get er...turned on by certain things and I know how to deal with those uhhhh feelings lol. I hope that's not to much TMI)
So what would you guys say? Simply asexual or autosexual?

It's a really old term that guys used to use to cover themselves when they got shot down hitting on a hot woman.
As in: "If she were straight, she'd have said yes; she must be a lipstick lesbian."

It basically goes back to when guys thought all lesbians were big butch women.
Really. They did. In the dawn of time. And some still.

Bears are a subculture of gay men. Usually larger, hairy, and very masculine men.

Hi. Just passing through, and saw the conversation.

Gays come in all shapes sizes, colors, etc. - like ice cream.
In the Baskin-Robbins of sex, "Bears" is a flavor.

It's like asparagus nut crunch; not for everybody, but those who like it, like it.

Or to put it another way: You know Ru-Paul, right? Very fem gay man/female impersonator. Ru-Paul looks like a woman even in male clothes.
Look at her/him and imagine a guy who is the complete physical opposite.

Now you got it.

Well of course gays have their own personal preference. But we don't need a new identity with every different preference. This is why people are getting pissed off. It's way more complicated than it has to be. Yes they're are "manly" gays and there are "feminine" gays. But do they need a whole new identity just for that? No. There's always a girly type and the "strong" type in both men and women. But all of these identities is making everything very confusing. They always say, less is more.

To take your phrase, less is more, I'll make it short.
You're looking at things backwards. These are old terms, at least 50 years; they're just new to you.

You don't want to use 'em? No problem. But don't get cheesed off at people because they're using a term new to you.

Unrelated: hope your cardiac problem's been taken care of, and you're doing okay. I hated not being able to do normal things because my heart was screwed up. Be well.

they're not really new terms if they all describe similar things.
What I'm getting at is, you don't need a new gender or sexuality for every feeling you have. And that's what these tumblerinas love doing. They are LABEL OBSESSED.
I thought the whole point of being different was to not be obsessed with labels. Now its all about dem labels.

Large, manly gay men, yes. But it's not just "yet another word for gay." It's a specific subculture that's been around since the 70s. It's an important part of gay history and culture.

Here's the thing though. Everything in the LGBT community now has multiple words for the same things and it makes it very confusing. Whatever happened to just gay, straight, lesbian or bi?

Ok I support lgbt so much but I mean come on. I know they aren't bullshit but that last one "polyamorous" I looked it up bc it sounded familiar and sure enough it's what my ex was. It is a glorified way to tell someone "hey if we date I'mma say I'm this just so I can cheat." It is so fucking stupid and I hate it with a burning passion. And if u are polyamorous I will still support you.

Sorry if my rant made 0 sence... :/
